A truly ridiculous indie Christian film hack of a hack, for the Fake It Til You Make It Playset Jam. Inspired by State and Main (2000) and Believe Me (2014). And yeah. God's Not Dead (2014).

We have characters

• faking it in love (female director in fake marriage)
• faking it in sexuality (gay guy pretending to be married to the director)
• faking it in work (lead actor who has never acted before)
• faking it in spirituality (non-Christian set chaplain)
• faking it in belief (working on this film even though the script is terrible)
• faking it in family (guy and girl pretending to be siblings so they can stay together)

Requires Kiss Dating Goodbye, Good Society, and Expanded Acquaintance to play.

This game deals with Evangelical and Fundamentalist Christian culture, characters and themes. Evangelicalism and Fundamentalism intersect with misogyny, racism, homophobia and transphobia, as well as other systems of oppression. This instruction guide and the game itself will touch on these topics, so please take care of yourself, and take breaks or avoid engaging with this material if those topics are triggering for you.

This guide talks about Evangelical and Fundamentalist Christian culture in broad strokes, and there may be mentions of things like abuse (spiritual, sexual, emotional, financial, physical), patriarchy, homophobia, transphobia, racism. 

❗Specific elements that I think will likely require even more sensitivity than usual have been marked with a red exclamation mark. This symbol indicates elements that I consider inseparable from systems of oppression and/or things that are inherently abusive. They will always be optional and not necessary to play the game.
